Biography

Jiankang Deng was funded by the Imperial President's PhD Scholarships and he obtained his PhD degree under the supervision of Prof. Stefanos Zafeiriou. He has been working in the field of deep face analysis with particular interests in building real-world working systems (e.g. InsightFace.ai and Facesoft.io).

Before coming to IBUG, he obtained his bachelor and master degrees from Nanjing University of Information Science and Technology. During his master study, he was supervised by Prof. Qingshan Liu in the BDAT Lab and worked closely with Prof. Dacheng Tao. He won many visual perception challenges (e.g. ImageNet and ActivityNet) in the past years.
