Biography
Dr. Antonios Oikonomopoulos received his B.Sc. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the Electrical Engineering Department, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece in 2002, his M.Sc. degree in Media and Knowledge Engineering from the Electrical Engineering Department, Delft University of Technology, The Netherlands in 2006 and his Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from the Computing Department, Imperial College London, U.K. in 2010.
Currently, he is a Research Associate at the Computing Department of Imperial College London, U.K. His research interests lie in the field of Computer Vision and Pattern Recognition, and more specifically in Human Activity Analysis, Image and Video Retrieval, Human-Machine Interaction and Digital Image Processing. He was a recipient of the Greek State Scholarships Foundation (I.K.Y.) from 2003 to 2007 and he is a member of the IEEE.
